Does anyone else hope that Andrew Luck’s career in Indianapolis isn’t as great as everybody else thinks it will be? I mean wouldn’t that just be the ultimate kick in the balls for Jim Irsay? Especially is Peyton Manning has a good season and Luck doesn’t. Oh, will it be sweet. That will be exactly what Jim Irsay deserves though. First the whole thing with Peyton Manning, then tweeting all that stupid shit, lately telling every sports news outlet he can find that he doesn’t know if the Colts are going to draft Luck. Now it comes out that the Colts, along with everyone else in the world, have known for weeks that they were going to draft Luck. Does Irsay really think that he was pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes or something? I would actually put money on it that he sends out some tweet today about how the source was wrong and they are still looking at RGIII. Anything to keep his name in the headlines.

When I first went to watch this video, I was pretty sure that it was just going to be a lot of Donovan McNabb bitching about his time in Washington. But as this video went on I don’t think that was the case. I really think that Donovan sees himself in Robert Griffin III, I really do. He knows what the deal is in Washington. He knows that Mike Shanahan is not going to cater to any player. He knows that if the offense doesn’t work under RGIII, then Shanahan is going to blame it on RGIII. It will never be Mike or Kyle Shanahan’s fault. Never. So I definitely see what Donovan is getting at in this interview. Most people are going to criticize McNabb for simply being bitter about his time with the Redskins, and that may be true, but there is some truth to what he is saying. How can you criticize McNabb for wanting RGIII to have a good start in his career. You can’t knock McNabb for saying that the Redskins are not the place for RGIII. Unfortunately for RGIII, he doesn’t really have a choice in the matter. And since the Colts and Irsay aren’t fooling anyone by saying that they don’t know if they’re going to draft Luck, RGIII may be out of luck. Lets just hope that at the end of RGIII’s career, Donovan McNabb is saying that he told us so.

This was probably has to be the most awkward plane ride ever right? Peyton Manning got on a plane with a guy who basically just told him hey thanks for making us one of the best franchises in the NFL, but were going to get rid of you and not pay you. Jim Irsay was probably like “Thanks for making me rich Peyton, but I don’t think you can make me anymore money. Hey you wanna get on a plane with me to go tell everyone? Because that sounds like a good idea to get me the fame and exposure to let the whole world know how big of an asshole I really am.” And Peyton was just like, “Sure, why not? But only if were going to drive in you Range Rover once we get there, because that makes you look like an even bigger asshole.” Then they both agreed and got onto the plane. At least that’s how it went down in my mind.

Congrats Indianapolis Colts. You just cut the man who made you everything you were for over a decade. You just cut arguably the most cerebral quarterback to ever play the game of football. Your owner is single-handedly steering the whole Colts organization straight into the shitter and everyone is just going to sit back and watch it happen. Get used to being at the bottom Indy, you’re going to be there for a while.

The only problem I see with this deal going through would be that Shanahan system is a terrible fit for Peyton Manning. Shanahan system is designed for a more mobile quarterback, which Manning is not. Shanahan can keep his current system if he wants to keep losing with the Rex Grossman’s and John Beck’s of the league, but I’m sure that if the Redskins landed Manning than Shanahan would be forced to change his system. The other problem with getting Manning is the decision of whether or not to sign the Colts free agent wide receivers, Pierre Garcon and Reggie Wayne. Not that this is a bad decision to have, but is it worth restructuring your whole teams salary around? This is a question that is going to have to be answered by any team looking to add Manning. The first question should be is Manning worth the risk? Just because he’s been cleared to play, doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be the same player that he was. He probably won’t be. Any team looking to sign Manning needs to first asses the potential benefit, and more importantly the risk, to their team should they sign Manning. Any form of Peyton Manning is better than the Redskins QB options right now.

As many of you have probably heard by now, Peyton Manning has been cleared to play. Being cleared and being able to play are two separate things. Now the questions can really start. Will the Colts pay Peyton, will they trade him? If he does get traded, who will he play for? Will he retire? What do you guys think?

P.S.- If I’m the Jets, I’m going hard to get Manning. Even if his neck is still messed up he can’t be worse than Sanchez.

Is Jim Irsay crazy or just delusional? Does he not realize that Peyton Manning single handily made the Colts what they are today? Peyton is the Colts. Period. Did Irsay not see what happened this season? You don’t go from being a playoff team to 2-14 because you lost a nobody. Bottom line is if Peyton had played this season we wouldn’t be having this discussion. If he hadn’t played this season we also wouldn’t be having this discussion becuase the Colts would have had the 1st pick in the draft for the last 10 years because Peyton is what makes this team great. If Peyton does get traded, I hope he wins a Super Bowl where ever he goes and that Andrew Luck is an enormous bust. That will put Jim Irsay in his place.

Congratulations to the Patriots, who are on their way back to the Super Bowl. While this was a huge win for the Patriots they needed a huge stroke of luck to get there. I still really can’t believe that Billy Cundiff missed that field goal. Let’s go over some other points of the game that had some impact.

-Patriots D started out the game where they left off last week. Stopped Ravens on first 3 possessions and forced punts. I know that everyone is going to say that the Patriots D has improved drastically since the season, and to a point they have, but lets not get too carried away. During the second half the Patriots 3rd down defense was absolutely horrible. Horrible.Without Vince Wilfork, the Patriots don’t win this game.

-Sterling Moore will be a hero this week after his play in the last minutes of the game, but he needed to make some plays after letting Torrey Smith break a tackle for a TD on 3rd down. No reason that Lee Evans should have dropped that ball in the end zone either. Easy touchdown.

-Who thought that the running game would be a bigger part of the offense during this game? Green-Ellis ran good through the game. We got to see Hernandez line up in the backfield for a few runs again.

-Hernandez is going to have to be huge in the Super Bowl if Gronkowski’s ankle is injured.

-Gronkowski injury is going to be huge news in the weeks until the Super Bowl. He did come in on a play down on the 1, but didn’t dome in again. If he is hurt Brady’s biggest target is gone.

-Brandon Spikes had a huge interception which I thought was going to seal the game. Then Brady goes out and makes one of the stupidest throws I’ve ever seen him make. I thought that Slater only got onto the field during special teams. Stick to what your good at.

-Flacco wasn’t as bad as I thought he was going to be. He made the throws, his receivers just didn’t catch the ball.

-Ravens started playing better as soon as Ray Rice started getting going. The Ravens gave Ricky Williams more touches than I thought he was going to get probably thanks to Ed Reed. They must be smoking partners.

-There was finally an Anquan Boldin sighting. Had a good catch and run to get the Ravens inside the 20 and in field goal range.

-Billy Cundiff tried to pull that kick a little too much because the ball was placed on the right hash mark of the field.

-Ed Reed had a huge knockdown on that 3rd down at the end of the game to force the Patriots to put. Brady was trying to get the ball to Hernandez and Ed Reed came over him to knock down the ball and give the Ravens another chance. Absolute Ball Hawk.

-Ray Lewis was pretty quiet during the game. Lewis is going to het some action after the game though when he kills Billy Cundiff. Sure Lewis would be more than willing to confess to this one. Cundiff better hope that Lewis gets to him before this guy, at least you know Lewis would put him down clean-

-Brady said it himself after the game, he sucked. Forced the ball a few time and threw 2 interceptions, 1 of which was totally uncalled for. Look for him to come out with a vengeance in the Super Bowl.

Make no doubt about it, the Patriots are extremely lucky to come out of this game with a win. The Ravens literally threw and kicked the game away. Talking about kicking, how big of a kick in the balls is it to the Colts to have to watch the Patriots play in the Super Bowl in their stadium? The Colts are being taken apart from the inside as we speak, and now they have to watch the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Whether the 49ers or Giants win, look for the Patriots to come out hot since they will be playing in a dome. I’d just like to send a huge thank you to the Ravens and Billy Cundiff for punching the Patriots ticket to the Super Bowl. 2 weeks cannot come soon enough.

Let me get this right. First Archie Manning says that he doesn’t think that Peyton and Andrew Luck can be on the same team if the Colts draft Luck. Then he turns around and says that he thinks they can? C’mon Archie, no one actually believes that. You were right the first time so just stick to that. Say what you really mean. All you had to say was that you don’t want the Colts to draft your sons replacement. That’s all. Not all this they can’t coexist shit. We all know what you meant. Peyton is getting up there in age, was just injured, the Colts suck, and Luck is a number 1 pick.

You know if it was Eli, Archie would be all for the team drafting Luck. In the picture Peyton and Archie both drank their milk out of a glass but Mrs. Manning had to be at the shoot for Eli because he hasn’t been weaned yet.

When someone says MVP, I usually think about the player who’s played the best in the NFL this year. This year maybe we should look at it a different way. Who then is the Most Valuable player? Peyton Manning. I grew up hating the Colts, but this season shows just how much Peyton means to them. Usually when the Patriots play the Colts you think of two of the best QB’s, and teams, in history going up against each other, preferably in snow. This year the image that comes to mind is more of best vs. worst scenario. How else can you explain how a team goes from making the playoffs every season to 0-11? It’s not like the other Manning is the QB. Then at least it would be plausible that a team could suck that bad. Like it or not, Peyton Manning may be the MVP of the NFL.
