Mark Cuban has once again proved why he is the league’s most outspoken owner, ripping David Stern about the Chris Paul trade. Cuban disagrees with the deal because he feels that the Hornets got a bad deal when they traded Paul. While this may be true or untrue, only time will tell. While Cuban is right on the principal that Paul shouldn’t have been traded, his reasoning is wrong for one simple point. The NBA should not own any team in the league! It seems to me like this is the point that everyone is missing. This is a huge conflict of interest. Can any other team block trades any time they want? No. So why should the Hornets be able to? It’s ridiculous. If the NBA had any credibility they would have sold the team, or at least not made any trade talks while they were the primary ownership. With this type of league management, it’s no wonder teams go under.
