With the long over due trade of Carson Palmer to the Raiders finally completed, it’s time to look at the winner’s and the loser’s of this trade, and it’s pretty on sided. With this trade the Raiders give up two picks, one being a first rounder, for Palmer. Even the Bengals must have been surprised by this offer, as their stance has been that Palmer was retired, and would not be traded at all. Al Davis must definitely still be with the Raiders in spirit judging by the way they are conducting business. It’s not as though they don’t have any viable QB’s at all. They currently have Kyle Boller and Terrelle Pryor, who both should have been given a shot with the threat of Darren McFadden in the backfield as a primary weapon. Add to the fact that by Palmer “retiring” the Bengals have found what could be their QB of the future in Andy Dalton. Lets just hope that the Bengals can find some non-convicts to spend the draft picks on.
